KM Students Help Make Life for Others a Little Easier

Student Sponsored Toiletry Drive for  Women's Shelter
Unfortunately, domestic abuse and other economic issues exist in our local area. The Women's Center of Waukesha gives people in these situations a second chance. Our NHS service group saw an opportunity to step in and help them help others. The center is entirely donation based, so we wanted to assist where many wouldn't think to. Little things like soap, tooth brushes, and even toilet paper are daily necessities that are often overlooked in many donations.

From November 5th to 9th, we collected toiletry items through the "Anti-TP War Project". This toiletry drive was a huge success! After those few short days, and with the help of everyone that donated, we had a truckload of supplies to deliver to the shelter. Mrs. Herbst, the staff, and all the residents graciously welcomed the supplies and wished everyone at Kettle Moraine a big thanks. Our entire group was glad to see our efforts have a positive impact on others, especially those right here in our own community.
