Food for the Needy

The Hartland Area Food Pantry provides food for needy families in the Hartland area and runs solely on donations. Hunger exists everywhere, even here in the Lake Country Area and I decided to do my part in helping to eradicate it by hosting a food drive in my neighborhood. I attached flyers to paper bags and placed one in each paper box in my subdivision. Then, one week later, I went back and picked up the donations. In all, I was able to collect nine bags of food for the food pantry.

    This project helped me realize just how how fortunate I am to have enough to eat every day. Millions of people in the United States alone do not have enough to eat. The project was also a lot of fun.
