Our project was to clean the south side of highway c. This impacted anyone who lives on that road because they would be litter free. It mostly impacted, though, the wildlife. We made it safer for all the animals that call the area around Highway C home. 

We decided to do this, because most of us are also in Caretakers, the environmental group at KMHS. This way we are helping NHS and Caretakers.

The clean up went great! We were assigned to clean up the highway in the fall and the days we went were beautiful and sunny. To be even more environmentally friendly we had a litter pick up bag for recyclables and non-recyclables.

The gratification we all got when we drove down the road when we were done was amazing. We could see what all of our hard work had accomplished. It reaffirmed the idea that with determination and hard work a person could accomplish any

thing.
